             Life is the most unpredictable thing in the world. We know that we may have to face a lot of difficult situations during our journey; however, we do not have any idea of what obstacles we will eventually find in our lives. The only thing that everybody is certain of is called death and ironically we are completely terrified of this event.  Neither monsters nor diseases affect and scare people as the idea of dying. Maybe this happens because no one knows what happens after our soul abandons our body. Even though there are various cultural conceptions of what the meaning of death is, we are going to talk about the one that can apply to all the places in the world. According to biology, death is defined by the moment in which all the vital processes of cells permanently stop.  All of our tissues start to degenerate. But, here in the occidental world, we wonder what happens to our essence when the clock stops ticking. As Catholics, we have a strong belief that there exists a heaven and a hell. Because of this, many people have a strong fear of what the second one may be and the repercussions it may bring with it. People have feared of encountering it when they die.  However, I believe that we should change our perception about death. We should not fear death. Because of death, we are a lot more grateful of life and the magic situations it has. As you do not know if this is the last time that you are going to laugh out loud till you are out of breath, or the last time you are going to meet the person that you love, or even the last time you are going to eat your favorite meal; death makes us treasure all these memories and events in order to live our life to the fullest. Death is not a bad thing, neither the mysteries that surround it. It definitely gives meaning to our life. And, everybody loves a good surprise, right? So the only thing that you have to be scared now is how bad your stomach is going to hurt because of all the candies that you are going to eat and all the funny costumes you are going to see.
